End grain construction creates a self-healing surface that closes around knife cuts, protecting blade edges and extending board life. Natural variations in grain and tone make each board unique, with honeyed caramel tones and subtle pink undertones that deepen beautifully over time. Cherry will develop a rich golden amber patina with use and exposure to light—one of the most distinctive aging characteristics in hardwood.

Finished exclusively with food-safe mineral oil. Free from BPA, phthalates, formaldehyde and harmful chemicals. Safe for direct food contact and suitable for all food preparation.

Your Eirlys board is crafted to last a lifetime with proper care. Wipe clean with a damp cloth after each use and dry immediately. Never soak or place in the dishwasher.

Oil monthly with food-safe mineral oil to maintain the wood's natural lustre and protect against moisture. Allow the oil to penetrate for 20 minutes before wiping away excess. The drip groove should be cleaned thoroughly after each use to prevent buildup. Due to the board's substantial 5 cm thickness, allow adequate drying time between uses. Cherry's colour will naturally deepen with age and light exposure, developing a beautiful golden amber patina that adds character over time.
