How to Use

Weekly maintenance: Apply mineral oil to a clean, dry board using the maple applicator. Work along the grain and allow to absorb for several hours or overnight. Buff away any excess with a soft cloth.

Monthly conditioning: Warm a small amount of board butter between your hands until softened. Massage into the board using the applicator or circular motions with your fingers, paying attention to end grain and edges. Leave for an hour or overnight, then polish with a clean cloth.

Applicator care: Rinse the sponge head under warm water after use and allow to air dry. The maple handle will develop its own patina over time.

For new boards or those showing signs of dryness, apply oil daily for the first week, then settle into a weekly rhythm. Use the butter whenever the surface appears dull or after particularly heavy use.
