FSC certified American walnut sourced from sustainably managed forests. End grain construction creates a self-healing surface that closes around knife cuts, protecting blade edges and extending board life. Natural variations in grain and tone make each board unique, with rich chocolate, caramel, and occasional purple undertones creating dramatic character. Walnut will develop a deeper, richer patina with use and regular oiling, making each board more beautiful over time.

Finished exclusively with food-safe mineral oil. Free from BPA, phthalates, formaldehyde and harmful chemicals. Safe for direct food contact and suitable for all food preparation.

Your Eirlys board is crafted to last a lifetime with proper care. Wipe clean with a damp cloth after each use and dry immediately. Never soak or place in the dishwasher.

Oil monthly with food-safe mineral oil to maintain the wood's natural lustre and protect against moisture. Allow the oil to penetrate for 20 minutes before wiping away excess. The drip groove should be cleaned thoroughly after each use to prevent buildup. Due to the board's substantial size and 5 cm thickness, allow adequate drying time between uses. Walnut will naturally develop a richer patina with age, deepening in colour and character.
